The days are getting shorter. Although we were blessed with an unusually warm Halloween this year, November was quick to throw snow on the ground and it hasn't looked back since. When you combine that with the clock going back an hour, we're now in that part of the year where it's dark when the kids leave for school, and it's dark again when the clock strikes supper.
I thought I'd take a minute to talk about SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
Well, I'm guessing a lot of my readers work in offices (probably a lot of home offices too), and spend a lot of time in front of a computer. When you leave for work in the dark, spend 8-10 hours in front of artificial light, and then go home in the dark...winter can be a bit depressing. It's important to make sure you take care of yourselves. And, if you are prone to getting a bit (or a lot) of the winter blues, it's good to know what you're up against, and maybe a few tips of making your winter a bit more bearable.
